Annie
Annie is a blind horse. Her previous owners were going to put her down. She was running with several other horses in a paddock with utility poles, hog panels and other debris on the ground. Annie came to us with several wounds from running in to things.
Annie has become a great asset to W.A.R. She helps to teach people the importance of talking to horses and how to touch a horse. Annie is doing very well here at W.A.R. and has learned to trust us with all aspects of her life. We take her for walks, take her to the vets and load her in our trailer with no problems. Annie has learned that the voice command "feet up" means to lift her feet higher to step over something and she loves to be groomed and sprayed down with a hose.
