Rascal
Rascal is a hackney/Shetland pony that came to us as a 7 year old. Rascal spent almost 7 years living in an 8' X 8' stall with minimal horse or human interaction. Due to Rascal not being able to move much, he had to have surgery on his back legs as he could not put his heels down. Rascal was also underweight and had very little muscle development so his shoulders are rotated forward.
Rascal is a hard pony to put weight on as he does not eat much. Rascal is very scared of being touched and would panic when a human came near him. Jo has worked with him a little bit to help socialize him but cannot do much more training until he is at a healthy weight. It has been interesting to watch him mentally develop as he has developed a very funny personality with lots of goofy facial expressions.
Rascal is in need of an additional sponsor to cover his farrier cost of $30 per month. Whether you sponsor $10, $20 or $30 per month, it all adds up to make a difference in our equines lives.
Rascal is sponsored by Nancy Hicks
Thank you for helping to provide Rascal with a long and happy life at W.A.R.
